A calm place to land.
A clear path forward

Two Birds Psychology offers evidence-based psychological assessment and support.  A space for clarity, connection and change for adult clients in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs or online Australia-wide.

Hi, I’m Christine

I’m a registered psychologist and I work with adult who feel stuck, stretched thin, emotionally exhausted, or like they’re quietly carrying too much.

I offer a safe, grounded space where you can pause, reflect, and reconnect with your inner steadiness and direction. My role is to walk alongside you, offering support, insight, and practical tools as you find your wings.

I see clients in Sydney's eastern suburbs or online across Australia.

My Approach To Therapy

Therapy should feel like a conversation that makes space for you, not something you have to perform. Our sessions are collaborative, down-to-earth, and responsive to what you need most in the moment.

I work from a trauma-informed and neuroaffirming lens, and tailor support using a mix of evidence-based approaches including:

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

  • Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR)

  • Mindfulness and somatic techniques

I also offer assessment, psychoeducation and support for people exploring a neurodivergent identity - whether you're curious about a diagnosis, are newly diagnosed, or self-identify and just need some extra support.

Why Two Birds?

The name Two Birds comes from an ancient Indian parable about two birds sitting in the same tree.

The tree represents the body and the life being lived. The two birds are inseparable companions, reflecting the duality of the human experience.

One bird sits lower in the tree. It is caught up in the day to day, reacting to thoughts, emotions, stress, relationships, and the constant pull of life unfolding around it.

The other bird sits higher up. It observes with steadiness, perspective, and conscious awareness. It notices what is happening without being pulled into every thought or feeling.

In psychology, this offers a helpful way of understanding our relationship with thoughts, emotions, and internal experiences.

The story of the two birds speaks to choice. The first bird is not wrong or broken. It is responding in a very natural way. The second bird represents the capacity for mindful awareness. The ability to step back, notice thoughts and feelings, create space, and respond in line with what matters.

At Two Birds Psychology, therapy is recognising this duality. Not by forcing thoughts or emotions away, but by developing conscious awareness of how we choose to respond once things are seen more clearly. This brings with it greater psychological flexibility, steadier nervous system regulation, and a life that feels more grounded, meaningful, and aligned.

Two birds, both welcome.
